Soft Wood by Moroso

Moroso introduces the Soft Wood sofa by Swedish design group Front to the US market.  Exploring the boundaries of design and meaning, Soft Wood challenges our perceptions:  it looks like a primitive piece of furniture made from rough-hewn pine.  Upon closer examination, a silk-smooth textile with a photorealistic wood print covers a comfortable volume of polyurethane.  Soft Wood illustrates the difference between the visual and tactile experience.

Soft Wood is made of stress-resistant polyurethane foam in varied densities and polyester fiberfill on a hardwood frame.  Legs are natural laminated pine on height adjustable glides. Non removable cover is inkjet printed on Kvadrat fabric.  It measures 76 ½ in. long by 33 ½ in. high by 33 ¾ in. deep (overall).
